Advanced “Scope” Procedures

If you follow sports, you’ve probably heard the term ’scoped’ applied to an athlete’s knee or shoulder after an injury. At Chamberland Orthopaedics, we use minimally invasive arthroscopic (scope) procedures on every major joint in the body. That includes knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and ankles. Scope procedures offer you exceptional benefits:

  • Minimal scarring
  • Much smaller incisions
  • Faster healing
  • Shorter recovery
  • Less pain

Arthroscopy of the wrist means we can correct carpal tunnel syndrome with a 15- to 20-minute “tunnel release” procedure. We can also scope ligament tears, cartilage damage, bone spurs, loose bodies and fractures. Dr. Chamberland is currently the only orthopaedic surgeon in the area doing arthroscopic release procedures on tennis elbow, too. We can also scope some arthritic joints to relieve pain and discomfort and restore lost mobility.
